Porter Voices is the heart of the Porter Voice Collective—where we honor, highlight, and elevate the stories of porters in Peru, Nepal, and Tanzania. This work began with a simple but urgent intention: to understand the lived realities of porters, listen deeply to their experiences, and stand beside them as allies in advocating for systemic change. What started as a personal journey to witness working conditions on the trail has grown into a global movement grounded in workforce equity tourism—a commitment to dignity, fairness, and truth in the trekking industry. This page is dedicated to the porters whose voices guide our mission, shape our advocacy, and remind the world that no mountain is climbed without them.
